I would like to begin by saying congratulations to Jolene Aarbo for taking an enormous step in providing a much needed magazine specifically designed for people that work, live and play on beautiful Vancouver Island! I know your readers are in for some incredible surprises. I personally am grateful to be part of this magazine for several reasons:
Reason #1, I believe it will stretch me to write an interesting and hopefully inspiring and useful article for people doing business throughout Vancouver Island. Reason #2, it will assist me in getting to know more and more businesses that may be having challenges and hopefully I can be of some benefit to them. Reason #3, I will be looking for and interviewing talented, gifted businesses & business people and help them shine their light. I will be seeking out those "success stories" filming them and we'll be posting the videos on the website! It was just over a year ago now that I too found myself in transition, in my personal and business life - returning back to the island in my mid fifties. What could have been seen as a bit of a blow for me personally and for my business is actually a big "gift" and a blessing for me. You see it is the beginning of the next phase and stage, which can be whatever I choose to make it. Why am I saying all of this you might ask? I mention this because there are likely a great many people in a similar position, finding themselves in transition. Isn't that what life really is - aren't we always in some sort of transition or change of some sort at any given time. Life evolves and it shifts and changes. I say it's the |
journey AND the destination, not just the destination and sometimes the way you get pulled or pushed into is actually a blessing in disguise!
So dear readers, my "intention" is to hopefully provide some useful business hints, tips, tools and resources that may in some ways contribute to your Business Success! I would also very much like to hear from you and assist you with your business.
